The Maxine and Stuart Frankel Foundation of Bloomfield Hills has bestowed a $20 Million gift upon Michigan Medicine to support the research and development of life-saving therapies at the university in collaboration with other institutions. Formerly known as the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS), Michigan Medicine is the academic medical center of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
