It’s impossible, or at the very least, unwise, to imagine growth in any industry these days without factoring in the role of technology. Fashion is certainly no exception. In fact, it’s becoming critical. Whether it’s reaching social media influencers, or customers, tech plays a role. Consumers want discounts and purchasing options at their fingertips at all times. This is what makes the upcoming Detroit Fashion Hackathon rather intriguing.
What’s a Hackathon?
For those unfamiliar with the term, a hackathon is typically a fun, but intense event. Computer programmers and others involved in software development, collaborate intensively. These technology-based projects may also include designers, project managers, and sometimes subject-matter-experts. The intent is to provide an environment to learn, explore, and engage, and to complete a project with a set amount of time.
