(Livonia, Mich, August 3, 2010) Michigan has style, and Buy Michigan Now wants to celebrate it. Some of the state’s hottest designers will strut their stuff on Sunday, August 8. The Style Sunday event is FREE to Buy Michigan Now Festival attendees. The first 100 guests will receive the V.I.P. treatment when they pick up complimentary tickets. Limit one ticket and one gift bag per person. Pick up tickets at the Buy Michigan Now information table located in Northville Square. The building, which is where the event will be held, is at 133 W. Main Street in Northville.

The Designers

The event is hosted by Buy Michigan Now, in partnership with Styleline Magazine and Ta-Dah! Productions. It features “Project Runway” designer Joe Faris, as well as Katerina Bocci, and Cyn thia LaMaide. VIP guests also receive a gift bag full of Michigan products and discounts valued at over $100. Michigan-based designers will also be on hand to display and sell their unique clothing, accessories, and jewelry.

“Katerina Bocci, Joe Faris, and Cynthia LaMaide are all wonderful Michigan designers who are achieving great success. We feel they represent the vibrant fashion industry being cultivated in our state, so we wanted to celebrate that,” said Lisa Diggs, founder of the Buy Michigan Now campaign.

The Schedule

  • Noon – 5 p.m. – Vendor booths and merchants open for shopping
  • Noon- 1 p.m. – V.I.P. tickets distributed
  • 1 p.m. – Cynthia LaMaide Fashion Show
  • 2 p.m. – Project Runway Alum and Sportswear Designer Joe Faris
  • 3 p.m. – Katerina Bocci Fashion Show
  • 5 p.m. – Style Sunday and Buy Michigan Now Festival comes to a close

Tickets

Style Sunday VIP tickets are limited to the first 100 attendees, and can be picked up between noon-1 p.m. on Sunday, August 8. They will be at the Buy Michigan Now information table inside Northville Square at 133 W. Main Street, but general admission seating is also available.
