Event Planning
If you are interested in helping plan for our summer festival in Northville, developing partnerships with other events, or creating new events, then this is the option for you. Help us find talented entertainers, recruit and train event volunteers, establish partnerships, review potential host sites, and other event planning activities.

Photography/Videography
Do you have mad camera skills? We’d love to put them to work. Become a volunteer photographer for your region of the state, or take photos at one of our events. If your skills are more in the moving picture realm, we are always on the lookout for camera operators, editors, or animators looking to add new projects to their reel, while helping is tell important Michigan stories.

Writing
Whether your interest is in writing one piece about your community for our Visit My Town, want to pitch a specific story, or would like to become a feature writer on an ongoing basis, we are interested in hearing from you. We have a particular need for writers interested in doing stories about mobility, technology, style, arts, and nonprofits. Articles on our website are typically 300-500 words. It’s a great place to get published.

Social Media Ambassador
One of the best ways for us to work together as a community to promote local businesses is through social media. Submit the volunteer form below to become a social media ambassador and we will give you advance notice of events, products, causes, and companies we will be promoting along with suggestions and hashtags so you can use your own social media to get involved. If you don’t want to become an ambassador, you can always follow @BuyMichiganNow on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and tag us in a post to give us permission to re-post or share it. You can also use the hashtag #buyminow to be a part of our social media conversation.

Buy Michigan Now Festival 
Our biggest call for volunteers each year is associated with the Buy Michigan Now Festival in Northville during the first weekend of August. We need a big team to set-up and check vendors in, manage the information booth, play in the Kids Zone, serve up smiles and drinks in the Beverage Garden, and a variety of other tasks.
